I’ve enjoyed serving at Community of Grace as a deacon since 2019. It has been a joy to work alongside many caring people as we have met emergency financial needs through the deacon fund. Our caring church body seeks also to meet needs through providing meals and rides to medical appointments. When available, I see those as ways that I can touch, encourage and show God’s love.
Ministry over the years has also included supporting my husband in pastoral roles, working with children with special needs and raising four children to know and love Him. We also appreciate participating in the lives of our eight grandchildren, seeing them also learn to grow physically and spiritually.
One verse that I return to many times is John 1:12: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God…” Because we are His children, He gives us a great desire to show His love by serving others.
